Since I had lost all of the spares from my current Sony set, I had a mis-matched pair from a JVC set with sticky putty on one to hold it together, it was a ghetto setup! These make all the difference; I noticed myself turning the volume down significantly since they blocked outside noise so well. Also, they *might* fit non-Sony models too. Happy listening.
